Dubai Marina

One of the most popular communities in new Dubai, with some of the best hotels in the city and the most diverse pedestrian spaces, Emaar’s Dubai Marina is home to The Address, Grosvenor House, The Meridien, The Westin, and The Yacht Club. The Marina Walk, where you can walk, jog, roller blade, or cycle (and if you haven’t invested in a bike yet, check with Byky for awesome rental deals), is the backbone of the entire neighborhood, surrounding the canal that gives access to numerous boat and yacht rentals and tours into the sea and around the Dubai coastline.

It’s the sort of place you can wake up on a weekend morning and spend the entire day exploring, relaxing, socializing, or trying new eateries.

With some of the coolest high-rises in Dubai, the man-made Marina, as it’s called by Dubaians, is inspired by Concord Pacific Place along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada. With over 100 residential buildings, the neighborhood can accommodate over 120,000 residents in its apartments and villas, most of whom are young professionals and small families.

The area itself is the playground of some of the most thriving and creative young people in the city, a hub for the laid back lifestyles of those who work late hours. Located at the heart of an ever-growing new Dubai, between Jebel Ali and Jumeirah, across from Jumeirah Lake Towers and adjacent to Dubai Media City and Jumeirah Beach Residence, you hardly find a better location, especially with the Dubai Tram launching in November 2014.

Highlights include the Dubai Marina Mall, the Promenade, Dubai Sky Dive, and a number of iconic restaurants and hotels.

The Dubai British School, Emirates International School Meadows, Kidville JBR, Toddler Town British Nursery, Marina Village Nursery, and Rainbow Valley Nursery are all nearby, as well as the Saudi German Hospital, Al Zahra Hospital, Dr Marc Mueller VIP Clinic, iCare Clinic, CosmeSurge, Welcare Clinic Knowledge Village, and Medcare Medical Center JBR.
